Oh Come let us worship and bow down
We had practice on Tuesday and with all the holidays and hustle and bustle of the new year, there had not been much of a chance to all get together since right before Christmas; it felt good to be back. Since last year, our practice sessions have been recorded so that we can work on the songs individually, it nice to be able to playback the pieces and figure out the melody and where and what to add for harmonies. Here is part of our rehearsal doing a song titled "O come let us Worship" which is found in the white Encuentro songbooks in the pews. This song is unusual because our latest style is a tenor harmony laid on top of a soprano melody and this time it is done with an alto harmony sitting below a tenor melody; the roles are flipped and I thought it played out well in our rendition.
