A few days ago, I discovered in the daily Gospel readings, that we were switching from the Book of Mark to that of the book of Matthew, and rather than starting at the beginning, the Church chose to lead with the Beatitudes. Delving further into the daily readings, I discovered that the rest of this entire month was dedicated to going through the entire Sermon on the Mount.
What a surprise and a delight to come upon this.
Reading through the entire three chapters, I sensed a pervading peace and awe of the words, and that prompted me to put the entire sermon on our website. In doing so, I rediscovered a treasure of wisdom for myself and just had to share it with you.
Rather that one large helping, I chose to break it down by individual teaching and commentaries, I found it best to consume the Sermon in small portions so as to be able to savor every bit of it.
It is also said that a picture is worth a thousand words, so I also looked for a video to accompany this piece and came up this gentleman from Ascension Presents. He talks about his journey to the Father and it reminded me of my journey through the Sermon on the Mount this week.
I pray that you are blessed by the words and witness shared on these pages.
Respectfully,
Ken Medellin,
